9:30 a.m. Kansas Pavilion Ribbon Cutting Ceremony,
Kansas Pavilion
A ribbon cutting ceremony will mark the official opening of the Kansas Pavilion and its brand "Kansas. Thinking Big in Bioscience." KansasBio President Angela Kreps, KansasBio Chair Dan Richardson and other Kansas VIPs will open the Pavilion on Monday to the international convention's 20,000 plus attendees.

Kansas delegates are invited to a cocktail reception to celebrate Kansas’“big” presence at BIO. The reception will honor our sponsors and feature valuable networking with Kansas industry and research leaders.

TUESDAY, APRIL 11
5 p.m. Kansas “Tailgate" Party, Kansas Pavilion
Meet big Kansas “players!" This will be an opportunity for all statewide partners and Kansas Delegates to gather together and showcase the Kansas Bioscience Initiative. Former KU All American and NFL great, Gale Sayers will be a special guest at the “tailgate,” courtesy of Kansas Bioscience Authority. Voice of the Kansas City Chiefs, Mitch Holthus, will be the emcee.

We’ll be distributing tickets to the “Tailgate” at the Kansas Pavilion. If you have people you would like to invite, stop by the Kansas Pavilion and get as many tickets as you like. Everyone’s invited to the reception –you don’t really need a ticket, but it just makes it more fun!
