ICM Inc. recently earned the 2006 Governor's
Award of Excellence. The Governor’s Award
of Excellence is presented annually to the Kansas
business that best represents Kansas ideals in leadership,
service, and contributions to the economy. ICM was
choosen out of 300 candidates for the award.
Located in Colwich, Kansas,
ICM is an industry leader in the engineering and
design of ethanol processing facilities across
the world. Established in 1995, by David VanderGriend,
ICM started with 20 employees. The company has
since expanded its workforce to 320 employees,
invested $10 million in capital, and added 64,000
square feet of space, making it the largest private
employer in Colwich and West Sedgwick County.
