KansasBio
invites you to attend the 2006 BIO Legislative
Fly-in on March 14-15 in Washington, DC. The annual
BIO Fly-in takes place every spring and hundreds
of biotech industry executives participate. This
event will provide an opportunity for KansasBio
to meet with the members of the 109th Congress.
KansasBio will coordinate
with BIO to attend all meetings with our U.S.
Senators and Representatives. In addition, BIO
staff will brief participants before our visits
on Capitol Hill, accompany us to all meetings
and provide "leave behind" materials.

8:00a.m. - Plenary Breakfast
9:30 a.m. - Legislative Meetings

The 2006 Fly-in will begin
on Tuesday, March 14, with a 4:30 PM legislative briefing
followed by a 6:30 PM welcoming reception and dinner
at the historic Willard Inter-Continental Hotel in downtown
Washington, DC. The following morning, Wednesday, March
15, begins with an 8:00 AM plenary breakfast on Capitol
Hill. Afterwards, KansasBio participants will be organized
into small groups for individual meetings with legislators
and key staff.
All participants
reconvene at 11:45 AM for a plenary luncheon on Capitol
Hill. After lunch, participants will again be organized
into small groups for afternoon legislative meetings
until 4:30 PM.
If you wish to attend, individuals are encouraged to
make your travel arrangements soon. A block of 100 rooms
is reserved until Feb. 14, 2006, at the Hotel Washington,
515 15th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20004 (next door
to the Willard Hotel), 202-638-5900. Ask for the Biotechnology
Industry Organization (BIO) block to receive the group
rate.
