Chicago will host BIO 2006

The 2006 Biotechnology Industry Organization’s (BIO) Annual International Convention will take place in America's vibrant Midwest - where the healthcare, agricultural, environmental & industrial sectors converge.

Chicago will host BIO 2006 April 9 – 12, 2006 at the McCormick Place Convention Center. Chicago was chosen as the host city based on their strong commitment and investments to developing local biotechnology industries. Many companies, from Abbott's laboratories to the smallest start-ups, have chosen Chicago based on a multitude of factors including the world class universities, the cultural amenities only offered by Chicago, the amount of venture capital available for startup companies and the already established community of biotech industries. KansasBio is working with other organizations in the state to maximize a positive state presence during this important Convention.
