The Kansas Pavilion

As part of the ongoing effort to help you achieve your convention goals, we listened to your input and designed a new Kansas Pavilion to meet your goals at BIO.  As you can see, this property allows each sponsor to receive individual recognition and branding, while having the benefit of being included within the Kansas Pavilion, enhancing the impact by exhibiting together and showcasing our state. Research indicates this option is less expensive than securing a smaller individual exhibit space on your own, and gives you better exposure due to increased traffic and collaboration with other Kansas exhibitors.

The Kansas pavilion is full thanks to all of our dedicated and generous sponsors. The Floorplan below identifies those sponsors who secured individual exhibit stations within the pavilion.

Why I go to BIO - Greg Unruh, Ventria Bioscience

Greg Unruh picture

"BIO is chance to network with the biotech community as well as strategic partners and customers to develop innovative biotech solutions."

Why I go to BIO - Chris Kavlik, Beckloff Associates

CHRIS KAVLIK"BIO is a great forum to meet international biotechnology companies who do not have an established US presence. We've been able to help them understand the US Regulatory environment and help establish a scientific US Regulatory strategy for their products. BIO has resulted in substantial return on investment, having gained us at least 2-3 new clients per year, several of which have turned into lucrative accounts."

BioGENEius Challenge

In 2010, KansasBio won a grant from the Biotechnology Institute to start a BioGENEius Challenge poster competition for high school students. Last fall and this spring students were introduced to the Challenge and encouraged to enter their local International Science and Engineering Fairs (ISEF) so they could earn the chance to compete in the US National BioGENEius Challenge. The three Kansas BioGENEius Challenge winners - Megan Smith, Sarina Farb, and Prarthana Dalal - will join the Kansas Delegation at BIO as they compete for these prestigious awards at the national and international level on June 25-27, 2011, in Washington, D.C.

Thank you to our Kansas BioGENEius Challenge sponsors: Hospira, ICM Inc., KansasWorks, Hill's Pet Nutrition, Kansas City Area Life Sciences Institute, University of Kansas Medical Center, CRB and Tom Wiggans.
