The BIO Convention has a world-class conference program, renowned general session and keynote speakers, growing exhibition floor and innumerable networking opportunities.
One of our primary goals at BIO 2008 will be to attract new talent to the state and region through targeted outreach to alumni, scientists and industry professionals in our key sub-sector areas.
We are excited to announce that one of our strategies in fulfilling this goal is to coordinate Kansas' presence and host a booth at the 2008 BIO Career Fair.
The 2008 BIO Career Fair is a one day event on Monday, June 16 from 3-8 p.m. at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego. This will be a great opportunity to recruit some of the top prospects that attend the BIO International Convention.
Last year, there were a record number of employers, job postings and job seekers at the BIO Career Fair in Boston. The Career Fair drew an estimated 4,000 job seekers, 68 exhibitors and 273 job postings.
This year, we will be able to network, talk about our strengths in the biosciences, conduct interviews and post available jobs on the event web site. We will work closely with KTEC and the Come Home to Kansas initiative to showcase the high-level careers available in the bioscience and information technology areas. In addition to the BIO Career Fair, employers can utilize the Kansas Pavilion on Wednesday, June 18 and Thursday, June 19 for follow-up interviews with prospects.

We need you to help staff the Kansas Pavilion at BIO 2008 in San Diego! One of the most important functions of exhibiting at BIO 2008 is the opportunity to communicate Kansas’ message to attendees. We need a combination of industry experts, university leaders, public officials and economic development representatives to greet attendees and tell our story that Kansas is a bioscience leader and a “go to” place for bioscience companies, strategic partners for Kansas companies and investors looking for dedication and opportunity to grow the biosciences.
KansasBio has negotiated a rate of $125 for an Exhibit Hall Pass, that's more than 50% off the normal cost. This discount is only good if you register with KansasBio.
Anyone who volunteers to work at the Kansas Pavilion for six or more hours throughout the convention will receive a complimentary exhibit hall pass!
Once your requests have been submitted, KansasBio will contact each person individually to discuss availability to work on the show floor at the Kansas Pavilion.

Please Note: This registration category allows access to exhibition hall only. This pass does NOT include access to the breakfast or lunch plenary sessions or evening receptions. Kansas Legislators and Public Officials will receive an unlimited, full-conference registration pass.

BIO 2008 Business Forum Take Part in the largest partnering event in the world!
Whether you are a pharmaceutical company executive looking for a young company with a brilliant biotechnology breakthrough or a young company looking for a strategic partner to bring your idea to market, the 2008 BIO Business Forum is designed to work for you!
More than 250 companies will be selected to make partnering-oriented presentations at the Business Forum. Registered biotech companies may request a presentation slot at the Business Forum. If accepted, your 15-minute presentation will be grouped into one of several specialty tracks scheduled during the four-day convention, and you will automatically be enrolled in the partnering program. In addition, full profiles of your company are available to attendees online in advance of the convention and onsite at the partnering desks.
