"BIO 2008 provides an international platform to showcase the success of
the Kansas approach to advancing the biosciences. The public-private partnership of the KBA in conjunction with the Kansas Legislature, private companies, universities and economic development organizations across the state presents a stunning model for research and commercialization of the biosciences. As an adopted Kansan living in San Diego, I'm proud of the way Kansas is championing innovative strategies for leading-edge research, job creation and economic growth through the biosciences."
