March Madness - The Road to Boston!
KansasBio Recruiting Delegation for BIO 2007
It's March Madness time! Which means; you guessed it...BIO! Okay, BIO 2007 might have been the second thing you guessed after basketball, but the excitement is building, and KansasBio is recruiting for the "Big BIO Dance," May 6 - 9 in Boston.
Join Kansas at the world’s premier biotechnology conference and help showcase to the world Kansas is serious, aggressive and ready to grow! We need you in Boston to communicate Kansas’ message as well as your organization's message to attendees.
KansasBio negotiated a rate of $125 for an Exhibit Hall Pass, that's more than 50% off the normal cost. This discount is only good if you register with KansasBio as part of the Kansas Pavilion.

Once your requests have been submitted, KansasBio will review them, submit them to BIO and each person approved will receive an email confirmation directly from BIO. KansasBio will invoice you for the registration and contact you to discuss availability to work on the show floor at the Kansas Pavilion. Deadline to submit requests is April 2 at 5 p.m.
This registration allows access to Exhibition Hall only. If you would like to attend any BIO sessions or receptions, you will need to purchase a registration upgrade once you receive your email confirmation from BIO.

Why I'm going to BIO 2007
Dr. David McDonald - Associate Vice President for Research and Professor of Biology, Wichita State University
"I am an advocate for the bioscience research for my institution and for my state. It is my feeling that, in order for the state of Kansas to develop a more diverse and substantial biosciences sector, we will need representatives from academia, from the private sector and from the range of civic entities to step forward and explore new ways of partnering. I am planning to attend BIO 2007 so that I can directly interact with those who are interested in pursuing these partnerships. While I can (and often do) interact with these individuals during the year within that state, by attending BIO 2006, I have seen the value of a group going to a meeting with a common cause – to present the bioscience possibilities of our state to the world. While we are at these meetings we can solidify relationships of entities within the state while we are presenting a picture of strength to those outside visitors who come to view our display. I believe that both of these activities have value and justify the time and expense of attending."
Lynn Parman - Vice President, Life Sciences & Technology,
Kansas City Area Development Council
“The Kansas City region boasts the largest concentration of animal health industry assets in the world. We also have significant leadership emerging in the human health and life sciences industry. To successfully promote the Kansas City region’s assets in human and animal life sciences, we must be where the industry is. BIO 2007 provides us with the largest international gathering of industry leadership and an unprecedented global stage to tell our story.”

Kansas Bioscience Magazine
KansasBio produces a magazine catering to the interests, concerns and issues of the bioscience industry in Kansas. The upcoming issue of the magazine will correspond with BIO 2007.
