Rev It Up for Boston!
Message from Angela Kreps, KansasBio President
After such BIG success at BIO 2006 in Chicago,
I often am approached with a the same question - "So what are you going to do this year to top 2006?" My reply is simple - our strategy in 2007 is not to "top" our presence from last year, but rather to move to Step Two in our overall BIO strategy.
Step One: Get the bioscience industry's attention, showcase our industry strength and growth, convey a fresh and innovative image of Kansas -- and bring a motivated, talented and collaborative group of professionals to speak for our state's dedication to making our bioscience vision into a reality.
BIO 2006 has been coined as our "coming out party" but it was certainly much more than that - as I am sure our delegation can strongly attest.
Step Two: Now that we have the bioscience industry's attention, it's time to dig deep and show what Kansas brings to the table in the biosciences. We have to consistently tell the world where we have strengths, opportunities and a path for growth.
I know that each of you shares my enthusiasm and drive to bring the best possible presence for Kansas to this "Olympics" of biosciences. In order to that, we need you. How can you get involved? You can connect with us right away about signing up for BIO 2007, you can become an important part of our sponsor team and you can help us all get the word out to others who may have an interest in becoming part of BIO 2007.
I know Kansas is "Thinking Big In Bioscience." Let's go show the world once again, we are serious, aggressive and ready to grow!

Why I'm going to BIO 2007
Tom Thornton - President & CEO, Kansas Bioscience Authority
"Kansas is thinking big in bioscience. We're at the forefront of the convergence of health, food and agriculture and industrial and environmental bioscience. Our state is home to world class research institutions; innovative startups; and leaders in drug discovery, animal health, plant sciences, bio-fuels and bio-composites. The Kansas Bioscience Authority will invest over $580 million to expand our position in these areas to make our state an international bioscience leader. I'm going to BIO to help Kansas companies raise capital and develop partnerships. More importantly, I’m going to BIO to tell the rest of the world the big things Kansas is doing in the biosciences."

KansasBio receives statewide support
Each of our partners from last year has indicated they are fully committed and excited to be part of a "return" trip to BIO. We couldn’t be more pleased with our statewide support.
Hill’s Pet Nutrition will once again donate its premium two-story pavilion to Kansas for BIO 2007. The central focus of the Kansas Pavilion will be both the strength and diversity of our bioscience industry and its potential growth under the Kansas Economic Growth Act.
