BIG BUZZ: Dr. Val Stella - a Kansas "Big Thinker"
Dr. Val Stella, a distinguished professor of pharmaceutical chemistry at the University of Kansas and inventor of drugs to treat epilepsy and AIDS, has been named a Kansas “Big Thinker” and will be honored at BIO 2007 in Boston. Attendees will have the opportunity to visit the Kansas Pavilion, meet Dr. Stella and listen to him discuss his work, experiences and visions.
With more than 20,000 bioscience leaders from throughout the world in attendance, there is no better place to highlight Kansas’ strengths, opportunities and our path for growth. One of the ways we will do this is to focus on our thought leaders, such as Dr. Stella, who are creating a buzz and propelling our industry through their work and innovations.
Don’t miss an issue of BIObuzz - we'll be announcing additional Kansas "Big Thinkers" who will join us in Boston.
