Breaking News!
Kansas to Host Media Mornings

KansasBio has partnered with the Kansas Agricultural Network, the state’s largest radio network, to provide listeners across Kansas up to the minute information from BIO 2007. In addition, we will be inviting the national and international media at BIO to attend this KansasBio feature and spread our industry news to the world.

The Kansas Agriculture Network will conduct exclusive interviews with leaders, bioscience executives and scientists to showcase Kansas’ growing bioscience industry. Topics will include: Update on the Bioscience Industry in Kansas, Biomass/Biofuel Industry, Kansas City Animal Health Corridor and Developing a Bioscience Cluster in Rural Kansas.

You're invited to Media Mornings!
Kansas Pavilion, Booth #2621
Monday, May 7 at 9:30 a.m. and
Tuesday, May 8 at 10 a.m.

You'll have the opportunity to listen and visit with thought leaders and bioscience executives about growing the biosciences in Kansas.

In addition, interviews will be conducted throughout both days and made available immediately at the Pavilion as KansasBio "podcasts."

BIO Honors Two PIPELINE Innovators
KTEC PIPELINE Innovators Olga Koper and Debra Ellies selected to present at Innovation Corridor Poster Sessions

Two KTEC PIPELINE Innovators have been selected to present at the BIO 2007 Innovation Corridor Poster Sessions.

Innovator Dr. Olga Koper, NanoScale Corporation and KansasBio Board Member will present on May 7 from 1 - 4 p.m.

"I want to showcase work occurring in Kansas to a large and varied audience, share and listen to novel ideas and approaches and learn about future trends and innovations. I am looking forward to networking with top researchers, decision makers, the general community, as well as with some of the most influential people in the bio industry. Through such interactions, I expect that I will be able to establish new collaborations and identify other business opportunities for Kansas."

Innovator Dr. Debra Ellies, OsteoGenex will present May 9 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.

"It is an exciting time to be an entrepreneur from Kansas and to be able to network at BIO. Kansas has leading edge resources, programs and networks for its innovators. Most importantly, Kansas provides its innovators with the best; and we, as innovators, must give it our best shot."

KTEC PIPELINE Innovators Join Team at BIO

The KTEC PIPELINE, Kansas' cutting edge technology entrepreneurial fellowship program, will sponsor the five Life Science Innovators at BIO 2007. KansasBio Members to Present at
BIO 2007 Business Forum

KansasBio member Jim Laufenberg, ImmunoGenetix will present at the BIO 2007 Business Forum on May 9 from 9 - 10:15 a.m., Level 1 Room B.

"Last year the Kansas Pavilion and delegation made a great impact in Chicago, and I expect we will have an even higher one in Boston. There is a real team spirit over the bioscience opportunities in Kansas. We are not only organized, but we are enthusiastic! In addition to the camaraderie and exposure at the Kansas Pavilion, the BIO Partnering Forum is an outstanding mechanism to get our companies' stories out to potential industry partners."

KansasBio member Jeff Southard, VasoGenix Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
will present at the BIO 2007 Business Forum on May 8 from 11:45 a.m. - 12 p.m., Level 1 Room A.

"Kansas has a lot advantages over other regions of the country in terms of human capital and cost of living that none of the other regions can touch. We need to get the word out. Only 200 companies from around the world are invited to present at BIO 2007, so being one of those companies puts us in very select group. It is validation that what we are developing is competitive on the global stage."

The BIO 2007 Business Forum offers an unparalleled opportunity for pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, academic research institutions and investors from around the world to gather, learn about each other and meet one-on-one to discuss business opportunities of mutual interest.
