Kansas participates in BIO 2005 in Philadelphia
Biotechnology Industry Organization’s (BIO) 2005 Annual International Convention in Philadelphia June 19-22 had record attendance with more than 18,730 registrants with representatives from 56 countries and all 50 U.S. states. The exhibit hall featured a record 1,525 displays, with more than 60 state and international pavilions.
Kansas participated with an exhibit centered on Kansas Department of Commerce’s “Kansas as big as you think” brand image and reflected the state’s efforts and dedication to the success in the bioscience industry. Information was distributed on the Kansas Bioscience Initiative and how each entity ties to one another, KansasBio, KEGA, Kansas Technology Enterprise Corporationand the Kansas Bioscience & Innovation Roadmap.
The convention served as an opportunity to learn what other state organizations are doing in the biosciences and opportunities that may exist for Kansas.
