Chairman's Message
I am pleased to bring you the first edition of eNews from KansasBio! As you will see, we are hard at work on many local and national issues and events.
As important members in the bioscience community, you are aware that the future of bioscience in Kansas is rapidly taking shape. A crucial step in that process is selecting the President to lead KansasBio, and our state, through this critical phase. I am absolutely thrilled to announce Angela Kreps as the leader that will take the helm of KansasBio. Her strong business background, as well as her knowledge of the four corners of this great state, will be a true asset for our organization. I look forward to more formal introductions at events in the future, as I know she will be an immense help to our membership during this important growth stage in Kansas. |

In this edition of eNews, you will read about KansasBio’s most important public function to date. This past July, KansasBio hosted a Statewide Bioscience Celebration at the Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics in Lawrence, Kansas. Please take a moment to read about this wonderful event and how KansasBio brought together the leadership in the state to bolster the important momentum in the industry. We are also thankful to our many sponsors that made this event possible — KTEC, the Kansas Department of Commerce, the Kansas Farm Bureau, The Kansas Chamber and the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.
It takes a team of great players to make something this big happen, and Kansas is no exception to that rule. KansasBio will continue the pioneering and collaborative spirit in an effort to expand Kansas' strengths in the Biosciences. Thank you and welcome to your eNews!
