KansasBio Committees
KansasBio is in the process of forming three committees. The committees will serve a vital function for the association, driving much of the work that will make the organization successful.
PUBLIC POLICY AND EDUCATION
Responsible for determining the policy positions and driving the educational efforts for the association, the Public Policy and Education Committee will ensure Kansans have a greater understanding of the bioscience business and research base and help policymakers at the state and national level make decisions that support the growth of the bioscience community in the state.
PROGRAMS AND EVENTS
Responsible for developing seminars, roundtable discussions, forums and educational programs, the Programs and Events committee will focus on meeting the specific information needs of the bioscience community and, when appropriate, inform broader audiences about the importance and value of the bioscience community in Kansas. This committee will also organize the association’s presence at the Biotechnology Industry Organization’s annual meeting and regional bioscience events (e.g., BIO venture conferences).
MEMBERSHIP AND BENEFITS
Responsible for driving the recruitment of new members to KansasBio and managing the association’s membership base, the Membership and Benefits committee will manage the benefits and group purchasing programs (e.g., BIO Business Solutions Program), member database, sponsorship packages for events, and the web site.
Any employee of a member organization can serve on a committee, and member companies may be represented on more than one committee. If you or any of your employees are interested in participating on a KansasBio committee, please indicate your preference on your membership form or contact KansasBio. |
